Additonal fuel during while engine is cold?

LT-8, stockish map on a 13BT.

How necessary is all the additional fuel while running cold? Pros/Cons?

The engine does not atomize fuel as well when the it's cold so thte extra fuel is required for consistant and smooth running. I had to add a little to mine over what was in the base map to get it idling smooth when cold. Now I can reach in, start the car, and it will idle on its own till warm without me touching the gas pedal at all.
