I have a FD3s with a L10s/X4/Bosch coil setup. The wiring diagram has the coils fed by a 12v ignition supply. Is there a reason why coils can't be wired 12v permanent from the battery. Or will i have to feed via a ign switched relay.

If this is not possible, can someone please explain why as the injectors have a permanent 12v from battery
