Wondering if you can help me. If I put 18" wheels all way around on my essentially bone stock 1993 FD, do you think I will compromise significantly the cars neutral balance and "fun" factor? I was about to buy four 18" wheels today, and then it dawned on me: the FD is known for her perfect balance... should I stick with the "easier spinning" 16" OEM size? What are your thoughts on that? I really appreciate it.

275 required lots of work on my car for several reasons.

Had to work when racing, so full suspension movment without marking the tires to avoid tech problems.

Car had been hit in one fender so instead of just the light roll it had to be cut as the layers hadn't been welded together.

Exhaust had to be solid mounted at the hagers as the force of cornering on DOT Rs was moving them literally inches into the tires inside sidewall.

Tried putting camber back in w/ camber eliminator in place at rear to tuck tires, but found the limit.

Narrow 275 like NT01, RA1 and RT-615 etc will fit, wider 275 tires won't

The rear fenders will need a light roll to use all your suspension movement.

Sorry, I was using the forum standards for fits, ie fine on the street.

I think you might be a little liberal with your definition of "fits" in the rear. I seem to remember a bit of work to sq

17x9.5 +40 offset and 275 fits stock fenders in the rear.

17x8.5 +30 and 255 requires coilovers, negative camber and a light fender roll up front.

how did you get 275's to fit out back ? springs or coilover ? fender roll ?

Blue T11 I thought this was a great simple idea to show that leading edge of the side seal. You lost me when you wrote this last paragraph. "Repeat the procedure for the other sideseal and you have your the outer most edge of your porting template as well as seeing where the other side seal will come back on the plate so that you do not put in too rounded of a corner and thus bad scissor." What other side seal? Come back on the plate? I know you are trying to tell me something. Also on this site I hear guys using the term scissor but no one I talk to uses that term so I don't know what you are trying to keep me away from.

I think that is just a made up date they did after the big crash. I have had this user name about 10 or 11 years I think (1998 or 99?).

Did you plan on joining the forums on the date: 3/2/1? or did it just happen that way?
