Can I get your opinion as an engine builder?

    http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=818686

I have a chip on the inner wall of my inner coolant passage for my s5 rear iron (there is a crappy pic there). I've PMed a couple professionals. One said it probably wouldn't fail because of its location. The other simply said "we would not use a part with a defect like that in one of our builds," which is more of a statement of business philosophy than an assessment of whether it may fail or not. Based on that thread do you think it would actually cause a coolant seal failure or a loss of compression in any way?
