Ok Im still building my MSII v3.0. Im at step 39. And trying to see if there is code loaded to my chip or not. I downloaded megatune and the downloader and when I get into the downloader it timed out reading response? I went to update and picked MS2_2.888a.msu is ths right? And when I (verify only) the code pops up in the folder and then I clck it and it says( hcs12) code detected file successfully read then says tmed out 0xE0 . Is this right? Or what do I do? I dont get loading programs for this stuff. lol I can build it take it apart fix it and make it better on almost anything I try. But loading computer programs properly kicks my butt!!

ok got the2.8 code on the msII card but the megatune software only goes to 2.6 in the config. I think I need to download an update but my computer tells me it cannot open the file? What do I need to open it? Thanks

 

It's been a while since I messed with an MSII, but that last time I did it you had to download the ZIP file, unzip it, then run the EXE to send the code. Download it from the firmware links at the top of this forum.

 

Ok got it guess I had to read the instructions really slow but finally got the 2.8 file saved in the right folder . And then it was in megatune for me to use. So far so good. Going to finish this weekend I hope.
