using stock harness (S5)?

Is it possible to wire up a harness adapter, or get one somewhere, so that you can plug the MS into the stock harness?

also, are there any problems with using the stock harness?

If your stock harness is not broken, then there is no problem using it. Tofuball and I did that for months before we built his new harness.

Right now there is no adapter available, so you would have to wire one up yourself.

i think it is fine. i don't get any error codes from the ECU about disconnected sensors and what not.
i just want to get the MS built and installed as soon as possible, and then worry about doing a new harness later.

so i guess i basically just have to take the ECU pinout from the FSM and work from there?
i might have some more questions once i actually get around to this, and i will post them here.

thanks

I built an adapter harness for my S4 NA. It was not to difficult, spent more time bothering Muythaibxr with questions than just about anything else
I will be getting a "second Chance" at building an adapter harness as I`ve agreed to buy a TII. I`ll be flying to Wisconsin next weekend to pick it up and drive back to Michigan.
Yea!!! TII

1) Is getting a spare ECU and ripping the connector off that the easiest way to make an "adapter". I guess i have to find an S5 ECU? or is there some place i can get the connectors themselves, or another way to do this?

2) what stock sensors need to be removed? also, i don't mind running the AFM for now, however is there a better way to go with using a MAP sensor (don't know if just the stock one will work)?

The AFM basically won't do anything... it'll just sit there.

The MS has a built-in MAP sensor, you should use that.

Building an adapter will require you to steal a connector from a stock ECU.

Connectors (at least it's multiple connectors for the S4)

no, the ECU only has one connector....

If he's going to be building the other side... the harness side as well, he'll need multiple connectors.

But my adapters have a db37 on one side, and a connector from a stock ecu on the other, and only one is "stolen" from a stock ecu.

yeah, 3 connectors on the harness side, one combined connector on the ECU.
