upgrading everything a couple questions

Well winter is coming soon time to do some upgrades. First on the list is intalling REW with a single gt42 turbo. Next is upgrade to msII. My question are, can I keep the stock crank trigger that are on the REW engine and what setting do I need to use the run that setup. My other question is I have a error ms extra daughter card with vr conditioning circuit. I would like to use that for my second trigger. I have ms v3 with msII board. Any mod or change that you guy think I need to make this work.

Both engines (REW and older 13B) use 24 tooth and 2 tooth wheels with VR sensors, so you will be fine using the stock VR sensor. I'm not sure what adjustments are on the sensor, but move them as close to the wheel as you can.

I'm not familiar with the daughter card, but it probably just contains the standard LM1815 circuit. As for the V3 board, see my sticky writeup for the steps necessary to mod the board to run rotary ignition. You can use either FC or FD coils.

I have being using ms for about 4 years now so I pretty sure I have it about beat now but I am new to the msII setup. My car was a s5 half-bridge before made 390whp. I was trying out meth injection when thing went wrong so instead of rebuilding I want to upgrade to newer stuff. I have two complete fd engines.

The FD 2nd trigger is somewhat noisy, so you'll definitely have to make the modifications (run in zero-crossing mode, extra .01uF cap from G+ to ground).

That the tips I was looking for thank you. I have not really found anyone running fd engines with ms. I always had issue with stabbing cas in my engine took me forever to fiqure out wich setting to use with how you stabbed the cas. No worries with fd engine.

The FD settings should be exactly the same as a properly-stabbed 2nd gen CAS... In ms2 that'd be a 5 deg BTDC tooth #1 angle. We no longer have to specify trigger teeth and return teeth in ms2/extra.
