Upgraded MAP sensor

Wouldn`t this upgrade be almost mandatory for us turbo guys?

What would be your reasoning, planning to run more then 21psi boost(limit of the 2.5 bar MS standard map sensor)of boost on your 13BT?

yeah, I was just about to type the same thing... the only other reason to get that thing is to have real-time baro correction.

I was really considering the real time barometric correction. I have NO intentions of boosting near that high, more like 10-12psi max (BNR stage 2).

Keep in mind that if you're not planning on boosting that high, you can lose MAP resolution by going to the 400kPa MAP sensor... So I wouldn't use the 400kPa sensors unless you need them.

The reason being that with the 250 kPa sensor, you're representing the whole range with 255 steps (8-bit analog to digital converter), so you have a little more than 1 step per kPa. With a 400 kPa sensor, now you've got about 1.6 kPa per step... so it's less accurate. This probably won't be a big deal on an rx7, but it would cause me trouble on the ITB-equipped corolla.

The ms2 has 10-bit ADC's, so it would be more accurate with the 400kPa sensor (around .4 kPa accuracy). The planned MS3 will likely use 12-bit ADCs, that gives us .1 kPa accuracy.

I get where you`re coming from now. I`ll save the MAP mod for when I decide to go on to MS2.
