Megasquirt UBS <-> bluetooth or serial <-> bluetooth
UBS <-> bluetooth or serial <-> bluetooth
Hey, so does anyone know of a usb and serial B/T adapter that would work with the MS? The idea would be that I could hide my MS forever and not have to hook up a serial cable to tune it with my laptop.
Last I heard there were some people who got it working. I don't know the details, but I know that diyautotune has been involved with getting it working, and may even sell some of the parts necessary to do so.

I'll keep ya'll posted on DIYautotune's responce.

I don't think they have their own forum, but they answer a lot of questions on www.msextra.com and www.msefi.com.

OK, I got a reply from them in less than 12 hours!
OK, so the manual mentions this one specifically and shows it in the pictures... Apparently it has to be a programmable one with a memory, since the megasquirt obviously can't program it.

I was wondering if either of these cheaper ones would do it:

This one looks promising:

It may be worth it to just pay the extra $30 or so to get the one that you know will work... I don't know a whole lot about this stuff...
I hope this helps other megasquirters :-)
Hi Philip,
We do have a USB to serial adapter that we've tested extensively with
Megasquirt; it's part number USB-2920, and we have it for $20. We
haven't done any testing with Bluetooth, but there's an entry in the
MegaManual on how to use this:
http://www.megamanual.com/com/bluetooth.html
Let me know if you have any questions.
