It could, the sensor needs to be the correct size for the teeth. It won't hurt to try it though. I'd try setting it up on a bench with a drill or something first, that way you don't have to mount it to the engine to see if it works.

GT Target Min Tooth Width 2.54mm
GT Target Min. Tooth Spacing 10.16mm
GT Target Thickness 6.35mm
GT Target Thickness 101.6mm
GT Airgap 1.02mm to 2.03mm

Seems it will be unsuitable. The tooth will nearly 2.54mm wide, but definitely not 10mm spaced or 5mm high.

I guess I better start looking for another.


D19 was the failed component. It was a dead short.
