temperature question

I've setup easytherm using a 50 ohm resistor for r24 as I didn't have a 47 lying around. My intake temps show on average around 100 - 120 depending on load and my water temps show between 185 - 210 depending again on load and ambient temp. Do these numbers look right ? My MAT temp sensor is located on the throttle body elbow and I suspect some heat soaking there, but wondering abotu water temps and if I've done something incorrectly with easytherm.

as long as you entered the correct things into easytherm, and copied the inc files to the right places, and remembered to put the new settings on the MS, you should be ok.

Do your coolant and air temperature sensors measure close to the same temperatures after letting the car sit overnight?

I will check tonight, but if memory serves they read high when the car is cold like in the 80's when I've doubted that it was infact that warm, especially the water temp. I'll get back to you on what they read tonight.

Bringing up an Old Thread!

I just got my MS starting to read of the car and will hopefully be firing up on Thursday, but I'm looking at Temp Sensor Calibration stuff.

I'm using the Stock sensors with no Resistors. I'm currently seeing -20ish on the Air Temp and 80 on the coolant. Ambient temp was about 65 maybe even less when I was looking at this.

Does anyone have the numbers for the stock sensors so I can plug them right into EasyTherm????

With no resistors??You need to replace R4 with a resistor between 30k and 50k.

the numbers for the stock sensors are on megasquirts sight just search 4 rotary, or they are already in easytherm,, click on file, than rx7 defaults. make sure u click on help in easytherm and read the directions!
