Success!!!!!

i found out what the friggin problem was. it seemed that if i meessed with the settings enough, ms would crash and not get a value for anything, not even the tps. this was weird. so i was like.. wtf, was going on. so i used the tps signal to see if i got anything and sure enough, i set everything correctly on the ms, and i pressed the tps. it worked. so now the moment of truth. i took the ca in my hand, and out of sheer fristration, i spun the cas. 320 rpms instantly pop up. i run inside and isntantly start to dance. i dont know why my father was like WTF IS GOING ON WTF DID YOU DO TO YOUR CAR!!

i simply ran upstaris and am now typing this.

GUY'S, PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHECK IF THE MS IS RESPONDING, BECAUSE HEADACHES ARENT NEEDED AND ITS JUST A SIMPLE LINE BETWEEN A SOFTWARE CRASH AND STUFF NOT WORKING.

weird, I've never seen any kind of software crashes.

So were you running normally without stim-for-wheel turned on, and with both of your VR conditioner circuits (with the normal unmodded CAS)?

with a modeed cas becuse i dont trust my vr conditioner work, i wired the cas all up to the db37, and i zip tied the wires ti my custo brace. im going to pop in some more settings and imma try and crank her up.

i dont know, it would alwase crash on me. i tested it to see if it would crash if i restarted my car, it did, but now it doesnt. just for safety measures im leaving the stock cas in my hatch and imma just drive around with a box of tools. if something happens, i can revert to stock eaisally.

no the ms would crash and lock up, and the f idle light wwould blink. megatune would connect just fine, but nothing worked. it didnt respond in megatune, it would only let megatune know it connected.

what firmware are you using? I think maybe that some of the older firmwares had some trouble with megatune running on certain laptops with Windows XP.

In any case I'd suggest upgrading.

No offense, but that's been stressed like 50 times before already. That link is not shielded wire, but metal braid that you could use to make your own shielded wire.you need something on the outside of that braid to make sure it doesn't short anywhere as you want to ONLY ground one end of that shield also.

haha no sarcasm. Just make sure the shielding doesn't touch anything except an electrical insulator or the MS ground pin.

I'd use that automotive silicone tape(that fuses to itself) over the electrical tape,it looks like electrical tape just no adhesive. With elec. tape when heat gets to it all the adhesive seems to sheep out.Haven't checked it out, but they probably make a flexible heat shrink that would be another good alternative to the silicone tape.

Intercom wire from your local home improvement store, plenum rated, is available everywhere, has very nice shielding which is very easy to ground from one end only, a nice 80* rated Teflon insulation and comes in 4/18 and 6/22 varieties, usually.

i never got my vr conditioner to work properly either. i used the firmware and megatune from the sticky and i was only able to get Ms working off the stim once in a while. then it would lose connection and the fuel pump light would flash. i would have to reload the .s19 file back onto the chip and then it would work for a while then crap out. I wasnt sure if it was my dual lm circuit so removed it and plan on rebuilding a new one. but for the time being im just running fuel.

question: the dual lm circuit basically converts ac voltage from the mag pickup into a 5v square wave. is that correct?
