ok now that I have it I am understanding soo much more about the ECU and the things you guys say.. but i have a question about the ecu case itself.. since its goin in the repu, i am probably gonna put it under the dash.. and i wanted to know if it is ok to paint the case itself.. i just wanna paint it like a flat black so it does not stand out much.. but since the case is like a heat sink i dont want to hinder the cooling efficiency..

 

Feel free to paint it any color you wish. There is very little total heat generated by the MS, mostly from the FETs. They do not get more than slightly warm in a proper installation in my experience.

I just finished painting mine with some of that new "anodize" look paint. Turned out pretty neat.

sweet.. today i spent about an hour or so makin the stimulator.. then i deburred the case since it had rough sharp edges. used some mild grit sandpaper then some 600 after the corners were smooth.. feels nice now.. hopefully by sunday i can have it all finished and be bench testing it..
