I recently purchased another V3 board with ms1(prebuilt) and I was trying to update the megasquirt to the msns-e setup. I originally hooked up the megasquirt to ensure I was getting connection from unit to pc and also to use the stimboard I have to verify it works with no problem. I had no problems connection or using the stim board. But once I updated the megatune to the msnse setup I can no longer make connection between the pc and the unit. Any Ideas????

 

Did you update your settings.ini for msns-extra? Did you put the msns-extra.ini file in the correct location?

 

I did it exactly as I had been instructed. Is there anyway that you could provide me with a correct or accurate way to do the update? Merry Christmas Thank You.

 

copy msns-extra.ini to the car1/mtCfg directory wherever you installed megatune.
edit settings.ini so that #unset MSNS_EXTRA says #set MSNS_EXTRA
Also make #set MS1 say #unset MS1
settings.ini should be in the same place you put msns-extra.ini

Last... after you updated the firmware, did you un-short the boot jumper?
