no clue?

alright i'll be picking up a 87 turbo 2 on thursday and from what he has told me its a v2.2 and he had a 4bar map upgrade and a boost controller.from what i seen on the megasquirt forums alot of people are keeping thier stock ecu's and running the ms just for fuel.my thing is i have no idea where to begin as far as wiring or if should just sell ms and figure something else out.need some input like its says no clue

So what's your question?

I'm not sure your comment about keeping stock ECUs and then running fuel only is correct either. Most people on here are running fuel and ignition.

on megasquirt success stories there are four guys using the stock ecu for ignition and the ms for fuel.i was just asking do you think this is a good idea or not.and the main question was wiring this damn thing up all the rotary gus over here use haltech,and don't like the ms i'm just trying to get some help some wiring so i can prove them wrong.

The basis of appeal for putting a standalone on an RX-7 is to get rid of stock ignition control, especially on turbo cars. There's no reason that I can see not running both ignition and fuel on the Megasquirt.

Wiring is very simple. The pinouts have been posted a few times here, so you can find them by searching. I used a plug from an old ecu and made my own adapter harness to plug the MS into my stock harness, about the easiest thing ever.
