Where did you get the MS? It sounds like one of the ones I sold.

If it is, you hook the board to the stock harness, and the MS to the DB37 side, run a MAP line, and it should fire up (assuming you have the CAS adjusted properly).

Thanks Big Kahuna..I appreciate you Popping in to help..I am a little bit"NEW" to the whole Computer ERA..so if you can make it like MS for Dummies, then I would get it!.So what is the DB37 side, and How do I run a Map?..See where I am going here?..I Can trace wires,Build Televisions, fix Cars..but hell!, after Maguyver went off the Air,everything went to Hell in a HandCart!..so I think if I can get some "material" to read also,I may undertstand the Function of the Box better..thanks again.STYX!~

The problem with MS is that you are thrown in the deep end. First read the FAQ here, and the have a look at www.msextra.com as well as read as much as you can on www.megasquirt.info.

You have a lot of reading to do, and theres not much anyone can help you with until you devour it all.

Hell my car is running, I did the entire job myself, right from fuel lines, pumps, return lines, surgetanks, fuel pressure regulators, wiring, ecu mounting, coil mounting. I'm still learning, I can't get the car to idle both strong, and clean. The way it is atm it is strong enough to not stall whent he e-fan comes on, strong enough to not stall when quickly returning to idle from 3k rpm, but it burrs and pops. If I change anything to make it stronger it just stalls when the fan comes on, or when returning to idle quickly.

sounds like a volt drop compensation tuning issue there i would say..

To misterstyx69 - as Jobro said you have really just jumped in the deep end Read, read more, then read again! Ask questions as you go, on the forum and we can help you out with understanding it.

Just adjust the "Battery Voltage Correction (ms/v)" under Injector Characteristics.

This adjusts the compensation in injector time based on the voltage the car is seeing. For example when you turn headlights on, volts may drop from 14.0 to 13.5, and at this lower voltage, the injectors will perform differently, but since megasquirt is constantly monitoring the voltage, it is able to make corrections.

I have found a value of 0.35 works for me.

The way I figured this out required an O2 sensor and some trial and error.

I had all the electrics off, then turned them all on, and the aim was to get to the point where there was no change in AFR, so I kept adjusting the correction value until I saw no change in AFR between all elecs off, and all elecs on. After that I then adjusted my whole table so I was on correct AFR's again.
