Spring is in the air, the ice is starting to thaw, I've come out of hibernation......


So I'd really like a 10 second pass this year. And I think that I'm going to need 2-step rev limiter (launch control).

How can I get the megasquirt to do this!

Also, I am running 0.29q, should I upgrade to the newest firmware or is it not really going to affect anything.

Right now I'm just working on getting it started, it didn't like starting in colder (50f) weather in the fall, so right now it's damn near impossible. Working on my cold start maps, yay.

 

I've never done it, but as I understand it, you just hook a pin on the MS to the clutch switch, and then set up the software to do launch control... James (who wrote most of ms1/extra) uses launch control, so I'm sure it works!

I would recommend using the 029w firmware though, it has fixes for the random table lookup spikes and dips, and has my fix to make those fixes work with the rotary.

the random table spikes were driving me nuts, I couldn't tune them out!

watching my AFR's go to 13.2 for an instant at 16psi in 4th gear is never fun :P

The firmware upgrade is straightforeward? I'm sure there's a page for it, I'll go lookin.

 

Yep, if you put the old firmware on there, you should be able to put the new firmware on there using the same method.
