Need some help

I have a stock 90 TII with the exception of the exhaust. ECU bit the dust and finding a new one has turned out to be a gigantic pain in the a$$.

Completely new to the MS stuff and trying to read the FAQ's section makes me feel like a 3rd grader.

Can someone please suggest if the megasquirt is the way to go or should I keep trying to look for a non-exhistent N370??

Please keep the talk as simple as possible!!

Thanks

Going MS will be definitely easier if you are fairly comfortable working with electronics, soldering, wiring etc ... starting a ms from scratch can be daunting, but in the end you will quite competent in the above. If you feel it is way over your head, you can try a pnp unit(although the learning process in starting from scratch is invaluable )...

otoh, I am fairly sure I have a n370 somewhere lol ...

Squirting out!

I feel fairly comfortable with my electrical skills. I am somewhat apprehensive about the computer skills part of it. I am obviously on a limited budget and don't feel like throwing money away.

So for the sake of saving time and me sounding stupid. With a budget of $500
what would you suggest that I need to get my baby back roaring?

Forget about the complexity of a standalone. Post a 'Wanted' ad in the classified section of this site. I'm sure you could find an ecu for $100 or less, and you'd get a drop-in and drive solution, and have $400 left over. Maybe talk nice to T2GTUS, and you can even skip the ad.

I did that originally but with no luck. The only problem is actually finding one (that works).

Just trying to digest all the information that is out there regarding MS is kind of confusing. I keep trying to find what I need to control Fuel and Ignition. Since I am assuming that is what my stock N370 controlled. So any help on providing information regarding all the components that would be required is truly appreciated.

MS will not drive your electronic OMP, so you are stuck with pre-mixing or swapping to S4 pump and front cover. There are likely emissions issues to look at as well. I have no idea if MS can be set up to control the myriad of solenoids to keep all those systems working as original. My recommendation: Keep searching for the N370. One will turn up.
