need help in southern cali $$$

Hey guys, I need help with my megasquirt and am willing to pay money for someone to help me out. I live in Pasadena CA. I have a ms1 and bought the components to change into a ms2 with boost control, but I have the slightest idea or what to do. I work at a shop and know how to do basic wiring, crimping soldering, and wire basic stuff like water meth kits and gauges, but this whole megasquirt thing confuses me. Im sure I could learn , but I don't mind paying someone to help me with soldering in my ms2 motherboard and boost controller. I don't know what other wires I would need changed on my harness, or what would needed to be added. Someone that could load a base program for my car to drive 10 miles to a local tuner would be awesome too. A friend before was helping me out and he did an awesome job, but now he is too busy to help.

My other option is someone that could just help me tune my ms1 to running condition. I had my buddy help me tune the car with a bad tps, now it has a working tps, my car is not running properly

The change from MS1 to MS2 is fairly simple as I recall. Remove MS1 chip, plug in MS2 chip. That's basically it. The only wire which would need to be swapped is the VR2 wire which currently would connect to JS8, to JS10 on the MS2.

Your MS1 map can be loaded into the MS2 for the most part. You would just need to setup the MS2 ignition settings manually as they are different than MS1.

As for the boost controller it is best to get the system up and running with MS2, then mod the board for the boost controller. It's a fairly simple modification. The Megasquirt docs have detailed instructions but DIY has simple instructions on their website:

thanks you Aaron. One of my buddies used to work at AEM and said he would give me a hand. He is a lot more familiar with the computer stuff and I am more familiar with the fabrication stuff, so maybe we'll trade work. For some reason everytime I mention megasquirt to someone, they seem to roll their eyes at me.
