MS map For DIYautotune

umm i was just wondering...if anybody had a map for the Megasquirt from DIY that is set for a halfbridge setup...i just need to get the car to start....tomorrow and I was just wondering if anybody had it. Let me know asap. thanks again...

PS im new to tuning and such....would any map work from any standalone as a guide...or does it have to be MS specific?

I will give you my map.

Share CAR specifics and I will tell you what to change. If using standard primary injectors then boost Req_Fuel from 7ms to maybe 9-10 and that should get you started.

Most street port maps will be way too lean.

Just generate a VE table with the engine constants dialog and the car should start on the default settings. Bridgeports require a LOT of fuel.

I already told him to further enrich my map 30%, and it was only meant to get the car started.

I have just about the same parameters to work with. Bridgeport, 820cc primary, 1600c secondaries, etc. I am looking to just start my car aswell. If you adjust the MSQ file, let me know if you can share it.

That would be awesome if you could do that. I am not a "tuner," I don't have enough knowledge/experiance with a full standalone to start messing with engine parameters.

best start learning, but its not as hard as you may think! By feel I could get the engine AFR's inside the 12:1 to 17:1 region and I'm a total novice. WB02 is needed to get it spot on tho.

Hey i was wondering...usually what kind of timing does a halfbridge usually see. I have it currently set at 17 degrees advanced and its very rough during idle.... I figured maybe i can drop down to 12 maybe even 10 degrees advance...i just need some input from those who have a nice soft smooth idle. thanks

I run about 12 degrees at idle, 30 degrees at low RPM low load, tapering down to around 20 degrees at atmospheric (with a few more degrees added as the RPMs rise), around 15 at low boost, 10 degrees at high boost.

The 1st file is what I got his car was running on when I left that day. The 2nd file involves a few changes. The timing map is actually a slightly modified one based off of one that was copied from another forum member on here.....I believe it was a 12A bridge setup.

My 12A street port idles very smoothly at 5ATDC (yes, that's after) verified by strobe. I have the map set to move that to ~10BTDC by 1200rpm or so. IMHO, idle timing is not an arbitrary number - each engine/setup/installation may need to be tuned by ear for best results.
