MS 1st geners help!!

I am stumped with my MS project. first off I have an '85 streetported 13b 4-port turbo. I switched to efi and got a MS from someone off the forum. i bought the daugter card kit and had a friend solder that up and, to make a long story short, could not get RPM in MT. I shipped my MS to a friend and he shipped me his and so i was trying to get it started and did a stupid thing and forgot to fuse the MS power that i was getting from one of the main relays. the car started and would not shut off with the key so i took of the - battery cable. It fried a trace so we bridged it with a wire and put a fuse in. But then we got it running and it was running for 1 or 2 mins and then i shut the key off and the car stayed running. I pulled off the battery cable and the fuse blew when that happened. Now it wont stop blowing fuses and therefore i cant get MS to turn on. PLEASE HELP ME. i replaced the 5 volt reg and C 15 but i still cant get it to work.... Thanks
Charlie

Charlie,

My old 1st gen wouldn't shut off either after swapping in a different type of alternator. I forget the actual cause, but it healed itself after some further electrical changes and a switch back to the stock alternator. Don't ever just pull the battery connection on a running vehicle. Massive voltage spikes may result (as you found out!). Just stick it in gear and stall it with a foot on the brake.

You will need to send the MS away to get it fixed unless you have the skills to do it yourself. There are some MS repair shops listed at msefi.com. While it's out being repaired check over your harness for shorts, bad grounds, etc, and fix it up or replace it. Then you can start again with a solid base.

To stall my car is just ask the woman to drive to the shops

No seriously, I would just unplug the removable connector from the back of the Megasquirt
