Megatune and MS2

I've been trying to get my version of Megatune (2.25 p3) to recognize the MS2 (using MS2 2.0.1 for now), but the included copyini.bat says that it cant copy any files and does not detect Megatune 2.25. I have it installed in a different directory than where the installer is looking, but I just wanted to know what it was doing, so I could do it manually.

It seems to be moving the file "megasquirt-ii.ini.ms2extra" into the ...\megatune2.25\mtcfg\ directory, and renaming it "megasquirt-ii.ini", but i'm not positive on this, nor do I know if i'm missing a step or two.

I'm just trying to get everything set up so the conversion to MS2 goes as smoothly as possible this weekend. Thanks for your help!

first, you need to unzip the file you downloaded (doesnt really matter where you put it). Then you need to copy the "megasquirt-ii.ini.ms2extra" from the bundle you downloaded into the megatune directory with the other ini files, and rename it to "megasquirt-ii.ini", replacing the existing file of that name. Then you run the bootloader in the unzipped folder with the MS plugged in and follow the onscreen instructions, then you're done.

I was having some problems with files that must have gotten corrupted when I downloaded them, but re-downloading solved those issues.

uh... what you downloaded should be in a file that ends in ".zip". you use winzip or w/e to "unzip" it, and extract it to a folder on your hard drive
