megasquirt newb

i have an 84 gsl se and i plan on swapping in a t2 engine in the future. i was considering megasquirt,but don't know where to start. which one would you recommend for this application? i am computer savey and have some knowledge of the tuning process.

I would always recommend an MS3, mainly because it's the easiest and we're still going to be adding features for a pretty long time. MS2 is in a bit of a holding pattern really. We're adding a feature here and there but I would not say we're actively developing it.

MS3 also has the largest feature set... For the rotary we support sequential staged injection, rotary ignition, we have a special rotary mode that makes configuration less confusing, closed loop idle speed control (also in ms2 but scaled down there), closed loop boost with feedforward table (also in ms2 but scaled down there), SDCard datalogging, etc...

With each upgrade (MS1 -> MS2 -> MS3) my 13B has run better/smoother than previously. The faster CPU and more refined code makes a difference. Thank you Ken.
