Megasquirt II Ignition Control

I have been reading quite a bit on the Megasquirt lately, and I am just about to the point where I am ready to buy one.

I have been planning on building an S5 engine for my 10th Ann, and using the stock ecu + the greddy emanage for tuning. However, after reading up on the Megasquirt, I am thinking about selling my emanage and going this route.

My question is: Are you guys aware of any efforts under foot to allow the Megasquit II to be compatible with the rotary igntion? I am aware of the SparknExtra firmware, which along with some hardware mods, will control leading and trailing timing.

Thanks,
Spencer

right now there is no large effort to get the MS2 to run rotary ignition. However, I'm working on it as I get time.

If you want a megasquirt, I'd suggest not waiting for the MS2, and instead just go ahead with msns-extra on an ms1 chip because I'm very busy right now with several projects, and don't know when I'll have time to start on the MS2 project.

Thanks for the feedback Ken. I will most likely go ahead build a MSI kit w/ the v3 pcb.

With the thought of a standalone on my mind, I am now considering a 13B-RE
