I picked up an 86 rx7 fc that does not run, the previous owner put a big turbo and injectors and installed a megasquirt 3 stand alone ecu in the car. It's getting fuel and spark but isnt starting. It let's out a little smoke at most. When I plug my computer into it and go onto tuner studio there is a box lit up in red at the bottom of the screen saying "rpm not synced". The car used to run, then stopped running for an unknown reason, everything seems perfect other then it not starting and the "rpm not synced" problem. The only thing I can think of being the problem is the crank angle sensor but I'm not sure. This is my first rotary, first megasquirt, I know my way around a piston engine but rotary is all new to me. I have never tuned a car before or ever had to deal with a megasquirt before so if anyone could help me out on what's wrong, please doo. Thank you.

 

I had sync issues when I first wired mine up. I had the cas wrong. Double check the cas and ignition wiring.
