Does the dyno have to be a rotary? There are plenty of youtube vids of people making 600-1200 HP on MS (Huber mustang for example, 1000-1100 HP on a Ford 2.3 at 40psi).

In any case, as long as fuel and spark are properly controlled, it doesn't matter if you have a $2000 computer or a $200 computer. The computer isn't what gets you the power, the mechanical tuning and modifications (bigger turbo, bigger ports, etc..) are.

I don't have any dyno printounts, but I tuned a car on MS1 V3 earlier this summer running a GT35R on a stock port 13B-RE that put down 380RWHP with little effort. The small hotside (.82 T3!!) and small stock exhaust ports on the RE were holding it back from making more power.

yes dyno or graph should be rotary, Aaron how many psi thats what im planning but mines street ported so hopefully it will make more. when i get my megasquirt installed and tuned hopefully he will see what im talking about. He loves that you use stock cas stock coil/igniters and that its not expensive.

My point is that instead of convincing your friend to use MS, you should convince him that since it properly controls spark/fuel on a lot of different rotary vehicles, it will properly control fuel and spark on ANY rotary. Controlling fuel and spark on a 160 hp NA is no different than on a 400 HP turbo as far as the fact that in either case you are toggling injectors on and off, and firing the plugs the same. The difference is the amount of fuel and the timing.

How much power you make will depend almost completely on the mecanical modifications. Any ECU that can accurately control fuel and spark (including MS) will get you the max power for those mods. It is drivability that will differ between ECUs; the MS's wall-wetting accel algorithm can get you at least the same as OEM drivability even with some pretty serious modifications.

It made that power right around 19 PSI, which is higher then I would have wanted. The small exhaust ports and small hotside are a huge restriction. Peak VE was somewhere around 5K and then dropped off as it approached redline. But full boost was there around 2000 RPM so it is a beast on the street.

With a reasonable turbine housing, and a street port, 16 PSI should make 400HP.

well i got no dyno proff yet and my but dyno is not as curate as Aarons but the last time he was in my car we figured it was doing 250hp. according to my 1/4 times... anyways that was on stock ecu, now im megasquirting stock turbo same street port as when i was using the stock ecu and she sure as hell pulls much harder, i had a hard time braking traction now i cant stop at 5psi (when i was running with my wast gate unplugged that car would pull to 15 psi in no time from 80khm/to 140 within a car length spanking an Audi sure is fun.
im running 5psi atm i plan on swapping my MS to the new firm ware then il hook up my boost controller and run my 10-12psi then il tune the rest of my turbo maps and i can post dyno specs, if all goes well il be hitting the track next weekend and try to beat my 14.002 1/2mile time should be no prob as long as i can get some traction . hope this help bring an other to the light.

Im running stock 2gen ign, stock turbo with 3" FMIC, 3" down pipe with 3" to the rear muffler then 2.5" no emission.
