I'm going through my logs today and notice my deccel is very lean 17:1 what can I do to fix this ? My VE is showing 43 wich i'd think would be adequate for low MAP and deccel...

I always thout that lean conditions under decel were fine. In fact, most people cut fuel almost totally if i remember corectly.

Yep, I let mine run lean on decel. Mostly using the map and about 10% fuel cut.

I run overrun fuel cut... and cut fuel completely on long decels.

also, i just have a thought that is kind of related, i wonder if fuel should be completely cut for long periods of time for engines that are running on premix? lubrication might become an issue after a long period of fuel cut...

in any case being very lean is fine when you are at 0% throttle decel.

overrun fuel cut is just fuel cut when you let off the throttle completely.

The jury is out on the fuel cut while premixing issue. I've heard that it does matter, and I've heard that it doesn't.

I premix and don't cut the fuel completely. It's pretty easy to keep a little fuel going in and still lube the rotors--that's why at real low kpa's my fuel table has real low ve's.

I premix and do the same - 25K+ miles and no problems yet, excellent compression last time I checked!

lubrication issues may present themselves as long-term problems, not short term...

in any case, it seems that putting a small amount of fuel on decel if you premix is a good idea, just to be safe, as long as it runs smooth under that condition.
