Larger Primaries, Smaller 2ndaries Injector Staging??

First off, I'm a Noobie to the MS. I have a ZEMs edition MS. Never installed, never even plugged it in yet. As i gather parts i sit back and let you guys get the kinks and the bugs out :-).

Anywho, ive been reading, soaking in all the MS info i can get. Im wondering since it seems to be that some ppl have stuttering/hesitation problems when BIG 2ndaries come on.
If this seems to be, could the MS control a bigger primary and smaller 2ndary. For example, 1600cc/850cc, run the 1600cc to like 80% cycle duty then stage in the 850's on the top end. Hopefully eliminating the stutter due to a smaller injector turning on. The 850's would act like "additional injectors".

I know a big primary would lead to very rich idle, but can the MS compensate?

i have only seen one person do this type of staging, it was on a 3rd gen. I forget what ems though (Power FC or AEM).

I'm sure the MS can do this, just clarify for me.

What you guys think? Good or bad idea

MS1 can't actually do this, the secondaries MUST be bigger than the primaries there.

MS2/extra on an MS2 *can* do this.

As far as it being a good idea, I don't think it is.

I don't think the staging problems some people are having are "bugs" necessarily, I think they're more tuning issues, as there are plenty of ways to get a stutter-free stage, and several people here have done it. It's not necessarily the easiest thing to tune, but it's tunable.

I just bought a MS1 V3 from cloudzero. I'm currently running GReddy 720cc injectors on both the primaries and secondaries. I haven't installed the Megasquirt yet because I'm still working on some base maps. But will I be able to run 720s all around? Or will I have to get bigger sencondaries?

With MS1, secondaries must be equal to or larger than the primaries, so 4x720 is fine.

yeah equal is right, I was just trying to make the point that smaller secondaries won't work in ms1.
