i've been reading for a couple of weeks now. i can't find the answere. I know that there is 2 differet options for getting the ignition to work. i could do a second lm1815 in the proto area or i could cut 2 teeth out of the cas. What's the advantages of going one way or another? What happens to the timing and spark in each case? thanks guys

 

nothing happens to the timing....

The only advantage of one over the other is that one requires an extra circuit and the other doesn't....

The one where you build an extra circuit also syncs faster with the CAS position.
