I read the faq and still need some beginner info

Guys, I've currently got a microtech and despite my best efforts, my car isn't running so swell. I would like to find out the answers to several questions.
Stuff like; Can I run the stock CAS but have the microtech do the ignitor function? I've rewired the car so the "pulg and play" currently offered won't work but can I buy a complete system and wire it in myself? Since I have many such questions, I'd like to find an all incompassing info location. I'm definately headed for one of these systems but I need to get my dumbest questions out of the way. Thanks for any help.

So you want to use the Microtech as ignition and the Megasquirt as fuel? WHY?

What is the problem you are having with the Microtech install? It's likely a lot easier to correct any wiring issues with the Microtech then it is to install a Megasquirt along side it.

The Microtech is about the easiest standalone there is to wire and get running, so if you can't get it going, then I don't suggest looking at the Megasquirt. It's probably only a small problem with the Microtech keeping it from running.

No, no. The microtech is wired just fine and drives ok for a full on beginner tuning it. I need the ingnitors because I have an LTX8 that has microtech ignitors so to replace it I'd need the same in the new ECU. My problem is that since I've gotten it running I can't find ANYONE to tune it. I even went 800 mi. to California and got a "experienced" tuner to make it run worse than the stock microtech map. I've since gotten a wideband and tuned it up to being much better but not really great. What I was thinking I can really use is the autotune feature then I don't need to spend hundreds to have some *** do a s*%$ job of tuning it.

I'm not sure your original question even makes sense.

what exactly are you trying to do with the megasquirt?

I still don't know what you are asking. If you can't find anyone around to tune the Microtech, there won't be anyone around to tune the Megasquirt. Tuning is tuning, regardless of ECU.
