Help with no LEDs
Ok, so I am have assembled my MS2 v3 and had it working with the regular megastim when it was jumped for the "Hall sensor or optical sensor" way in the manual. I was finishing up connecting the zeal board and led resisters for the ignition and now all the leds stopped working. I removed the resistors and the zeal board jumpers and I still have it jumped as XG1 XG1, OPTOIN to TACHSELECT, and TSEL to OPTOUT. I can connect to tunerstudio and see TPS, Coolant, etc all move with the pots but no RPMs. The fuel pump led on the stim lights up for a second when power is applied and all three on the megasquirt light for just a second as well. I assume I am not getting an RPM signal now..
I was on the last step of wiring the zeal board per the DIY instructions and was adjusting the pots on the MS board. I did accidentally turn the bottom pot clockwise for a while thinking i was supposed to do that instead of counterclockwise. Can they break (sorry I have no idea how they work). I hooked the stim back up and no lights. I undid everything I changed from when it was testing ok that I could think of.
Any thoughts on how to test this all out? I have double checked everything and read and read. I am a little burnt out so could have made a simple mistake at this point. I attached a msq if that helps. Thanks as always.

Had another though: It was working when I had the jumpers setup like above AND the zeal board was connected. Do you have to have some of the components of the zeal board jumped for the stim to work even when you have the board jumped for non VR ignition?
Also, when/if I do get the megastim to put out an RPM signal again it will no longer work once I move the jumpers over to trigger off of the VR ingnition from what I have read correct? If so is there much value in trying to get the stim to work on the other type of ignition again if I can't test the one I will be using for the car?

So I never quite pinned it down. I did get different LED results with the firmware setup per Aaron Cake's writeup but the breakout harness did not show RPMs.
The good thing is I have a better understanding of the system (though a long way to go).
I decided to send it off to Peter Florance at pftuning to get it all going. I want to have a good known working unit as a known variable as I move forward.
