Format Issue with New MS PRO3 Unit
Hi All
I just installed my new MS Pro3 unit powered up and have communication. I get a warning that states my Project serial signature does not match to the Mega Squirt serial signature.
Project is MS3 Format 0262.06P
Mega Squirt is MS3 Format 0261.01P
It is a new unit so I would assume it has the MS3Pro firmware loaded. I have tuner studio on my lap top. Is there something that I have to down load on to my computer to get the tuner studio to read the new firm ware in the MS Pro 3?
I am ok with the hardware end of things but this soft ware stuff twists me a bit. What is this and how can it be corrected.
Thanks in advance
Kim

The INI files that MegaTune has don't match the firmware in the MS3-Pro.
First, make sure the MS3-Pro is at the latest firmware. Download it from:
http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms3/files...ease-1.2.1.zip
Then extract and follow the instructions in the readme.txt to program the ECU. Make sure to select the MS3-Pro firmware not the MS3 firmware.
When you next open TunerStudio, if the computer is connected to the Internet, it should inform you that it can download the latest INI files from the EFIAnalytics site.
If not, then you can manually copy the file to a location TunerStudio can find it. I generally use C:\Program Files\EFIAnalytics\TunerStudioMS\config\ecuDef and create an "ms3" folder. Then when TunerStudio asks where the file is, browse to that location.

Yes!
Hi All
I explored the disk that they DIY sent me and copied the folders and files to the desk top.
From there I was able to load the MS3-Pro firmware to the MS and then through the Tuner Studio I matched it up with the MS. At this point I am in and have a dash board.
Slowly moving ahead I think you guys will still hear from me because I am used to the old MS 1 set up. Because it ran for so long for me I did very little after tuning at the track I have forgotten how to do these things.
Thanks
Kim
