So I built my jimstim a couple months back, and am finally getting around to ordering the Megasquirt itself. Just making sure I'm not missing anything before I place the order. On the list I have the MS3.0 itself, the Zeal daughterboard, and the EBC kit. Am I missing anything? Also, I was wondering about the harness vs relay board/cable. I saw a post earlier where Aaroncake said he didn't find the relay setup necessary, so can I just go with the harness and put my own connectors on? I'd rather put a new harness in; the stock one in my S4 TII is pretty mangled in places.

 

Yes, order one of the 12' harnesses as well as 4 injector connectors appropriate to your series of car. You should probably also order one for the BAC valve as well. You will need two relays with sockets, one for the fuel pump and one for the main power relay.

See my writeup sticky for a complete parts list. As you are using the Zeal card, you don't need to buy the stuff for the PWM Idle mod or the LM1815 circuit.

 

Awesome writeup Aaron, I read the stickies when I first made the jimstim months ago and have skipped over them since, I didn't even see it up there until you mentioned it. I went ahead and ordered all the stuff to put it together, now back to reading through the megamanual in the meantime...
