Megasquirt ***Video of my MS TII***
Yeah but your 7 was running nice for what I saw on the video and you were running a MS. Right? I think that’s way I haven’t trash it yet. I wish I had more 7’s step up and show how good this poor mans EMS really is. (ACLINKS= POOR MAN) I'm going to make a plug and play plug for it this week and work with that otherwise I would go crazy. I can’t see my 7 down. So I put the stock ecu back on. I had a mess of wires all over the place and that’s not my style. So I'll get back on it next week. I have a really big meet tomorrow (150 cars plus) and I have to attend. I wish I could have had this Mega WHO? Thing working by then but no luck. So yeah I will be in RX7 heaven tomorrow with a stock ecu.
well, just about 1600 miles and still going strong. Working on her this weekend for some preventative stuf (omp rebuild and new lines), and making way for the next upgrades (new radiator going in, anticipation for the FMIC)

that wasnt my video...
Adjust the TPS so that it goes to around 90% when the secondaries open, then set the stage point a little higher.
You can also use the gradual-staging code, which is part of the 029-series firmware (which should already be on your MS).

hopefully this friday i'll have a vid of my 7 at an autocross... im going with some of my former FSAE team and we're taking the formula car out tho, so if im only allowed to drive one car... the 7 will have to wait. Either way, the formula car is MS powered, so i guess it still kinda counts.
Well, after trying to find the source of an intermittent oil leak, (and what sounded like squealing belts) I dug up this:

The nut holding on the compressor wheel had worked its way loose (and I know that it was on their nice and tightly before putting the turbo on), and proceeded to bounce around the intake, coming into contact with the compressor wheel every now and then. So there goes a nice pretty, shiny T04B wheel and compressor housing. Wonderful. Needless to say, i wont be making it to that autocross, at least in the 7.

yea, im sure they did too. I ordered one of the corksport FMIC kits though, so i wont be using on the stock IC, and can inspect and see how far the shavings got. Plenty of work over the next week...
umm im looking forward to getting a ms system for my s4 t2 swap <3 i just need to see to believe you know what i mean? so wheres some videos? id like to see start up. rev's, driving would be cool and if anyone know if its realy worth getting
Yes I know. I have been following my thread very closely and have been waiting patiently. Also your boy Darren is considering changing EMS for your information. This thread has been out I'll say for a bit and no real video. I would have thought someone would had stepped up and shut me up by now. But it looks like that’s not happening. I will see you soon asking questions in here and getting no or five word short sentence answers. Needless to say I have completed my plug and play harness and will be going on round three on the Mega WHO! If everything works well I will post a video of it running and yes I know I have everyone’s best wishes. That’s only because you like the way I'm so black or white with things. No grey areas with me. Either it’s a good EMS or a piece of crap.lol I think the best part of it is that I have learned alot. This is the only reason I havent sold this %@*! shyt yet.
Hey bro how many dynos is it going to take to get this bad boy in a track? Or is it that you’re having problems tuning it. Don’t take it in a wrong way I'm just curious.
This is just a street car, I doubt I will ever get it on a track...
I am revisiting for a couple reasons...
1) I previously had some boost controller issues(I was commanding 250 kpa, I only saw ~220kpa - I have a first-gen avcr, which unfortunately is discontinued, and I had to replace it's map sensor with a second-gen avcr map sensor, the voltages are a bit off)
2) I now have a 3.5 bar map sensor for the MS.(hopefully I have #1 above resolved)
3) I hope to try some more experimental staging parameters which look promising on "street" datalogs, and see how they affect my rather steep fuel requirement, and power jump at ~4k rpm.
4) and visiting Spectre just rocks!!!

As a side note, the car was and is still now very smooth. At the mega meet, I was the last car to get on the dyno, I think It was at about 10pm, and everyone was tired ... Scott mentioned I had one of the closest "street" tunes he had seen...he ended up making very small adjustments to fuel and timing. Due to it being quite late, and everyone exhausted, we failed to see some minor log details, and I feel there is more room to go.
