Description:
Selling the original tranny from my 1993 FD.
Has about 32k miles. Came out running well -- slight knick on 2nd and 3rd, not bad at all. 5th is toast.
No bellhousing or cover on the shift tower. Shift linkage moves smoothly.
Would make a great swap-in for a busted tranny. I *hear* 5th gear synchro is easy to replace, but don't quote me on that.
$500 local pickup in CA Monterey Bay Area.

I see this post in the "all parts" but when selecting "3rd gen only parts," I do not see it showing up. I recently had the same issue and mazdaverx713b fixed it for me, if you want to PM him about it.
Not bad price. I recently sold an FD 5sp, unknown mileage for $600.
5th is easy to work on, only have to pull the tail section to get to it, not the main shafts.
Looked at 3rd gen again after I posted and it showed up. Maybe it is working correctly

I can see you post as local, but any chance you'd ship (at the buyer's expense). I'd want it shipped directly to Liberty Gears Transmission for goodies.

The only issue I have with shipping is that I don't know how to. I don't have the tools to create an enclosed container, which I hear UPS requires now. Perhaps I could ratchet strap it to a pallet and wrap it in visqueen or something and send it freight. Open to ideas.
