I didn't realize that a kit was ever available. There isn't as the bang for the buck factor as with a turbo. I would certainly want to try if there was a kit, though.

So the kit was only available in small quantities. It was a Nelson-Paxton kit. They made two versions for both series S4 and S5 NAs. I’ve seen a few currently circling and immediately getting bought. Others are incomplete and useless. Yes you are correct on the bang for the buck factor like a turbo. Im just not willing to mod and spend more to turbo. But for what I’ve seen these supercharger kit sold complete. Between 1.5 and 2,000. And very little alterations. I will have something under the hood that is mild stockish. And a little more oomph at the pedal. Not looking for big power. More novelty and rarity of course lol.

I have a pdf of all the items and manual from this Nelson Paxton supercharger kit. If you’d like a copy.

Sure, a manual would be nice. Post a thread if you find one. I would be interested in seeing this.
I saw a super charger writeup here many years ago. The amount of fab work was extensive at least in that build. That's why I never considered this for myself. A kit with EFI.... nice.

Most of the pics in that old thread are lost most likely now. It is still up there for my favorite threads on here.

Best wishes in the hunt for your parts. This kit with a stand alone would be nice project.

And thanks for the info, too.

I purchased a kit from Mariah back when Jim was offering them. There were parts he had to have custom made to make the kit bolt on without much work. I think I still have the pamphlet he sent to interested customers that showed the complete kit and parts list. Good luck in your search, the whine of a supercharger is music to the ears.

Nelson, name from the past. In May 89 purchased our 89 TII from Maple Shade Mazda and later that year when in for
service, the owner had his '89 vert in the shop having a Nelson supercharger installed. I took a look at it half apart, and
the techs for having quite a time doing the install. As I don't throw anything out related to the Mazda, might have some
info laying around, just need to take look in a few spots.
