Description:
My 1986 Mazda RX7 is up for Sale in Cleveland, OH. The car does not run but is in fair condition. She is a 5 lug 5 speed car with a somewhat working sunroof and powered windows. She sits on cheap coil overs and has a mediocre paint job, with chips, dents, scratches, and lovely amounts of overspray in certain areas. The underside of the vehicle is surprisingly clean with minimal surface rust on some parts but absolutely no rotting, which I believe is because she has given herself a makeshift rust protection from her leaking a bit of oil and copious amounts of power steering fluid. Which car is equipped with power steering and A/C, neither of which works. A/C, I believe, is a clutch or electrical problem, and power steering just has a mystery leak. Electrical isn't terrible for an 80s car, but as time goes on, it worsens. The 5-speed is great, mostly. She grinds from time to time, especially when trying to go into reverse. She hasn't run since the beginning of 2025, and I never did find out why. I did have the engine comp. tested, but numbers were inaccurate/low since getting the engine to warm up is kind of impossible when it doesn't run. There's more to note, but I'm happy to answer questions directly.
Since I've bought her I've done
2 oil changes, fuel filter, plugs and wires, engine and trans mounts, had injectors tested, and swapped out a few lights.
Since I am an idiot, while trying to diagnose why it did not run, I decided to pull the rats nest, smog deleted, and pulled the OMP. ALL OF WHICH I SAVED AND COMES WITH THE CAR WHEN SOLD. Car will come with other parts I had planned to install but never did.
I installed a harness bar mount, but did a terrible job at it.
I'm not looking to profit on this car; I simply want her to go to a good home. I had planned to restore her to her original color and do an OEM+ build on some time-accurate wheels, but times change, and I need to buy a newer vehicle. I hate to sell her, since she's my first ever car and dream car, but when you love someone or something, to love them, sometimes you have to let go.
So make me an offer, worst ill say is no thank you.
I forgot to include this in my listing but for a quicker replies and more direct questions email me! (This includes any else with questions!)
