These Rx7 FD3S sequential turbos came off beautifully running 60k engine. Some searching says these are 255hp turbos, other research says these put out the 276hp, please do your own research. These are Prime candidates for BNR upgrade conversion! Or just bolt them up and use them how they are.Almost ZERO shaft play. Functioned great before removed, manifold in excellent condition. Mileage was in the 60k range. These came factory in Japan on the 96-98 FD. Stronger manifolds with higher nickel content!  Even the gaskets look great when remove, I have done Zero cleaning on these, this is how they were when they came off the engine. N3C1 were matched to the 255hp Automatic transmission cars and the 265hp manual cars, at least for Version 6 cars.

N3G1 turbos were found on the Spirit R, Type RZ and Type RS, matched the the 280 hp engine configuration.

The dark band abradable surface in the housing where the impeller blade rubs is one way to tell these newer turbos compared to S6 turbos.

It was the additional of the abradable surface that largely gave the higher horsepower.

The 280 hp turbos had a slight modification of the channeling within the turbo snail shell.

The ecu would also be programed differently for the increases in hp.

These came off a FD manual Efini FD so that would make them 265hp then. Thanks for the info, little bit of a bump in power over USDM twins. 👍

Easy way to tell if they are the desirable 99 spec twins would be the compressor housings used bolts and the regular older style used a snap ring to mate compressor housings to the bearing plate.

They are not 99 spec twins, nor does this post claim them to be. These are off a 96-98 FD specifically an Efini as I watched the removal of them off a friends imported Efini FD since he went single turbo. Car had 63k miles.

All three parts catalogues for Verion 4 (96-98), Version 5 (99) and Version 6 cars shows that NC31 came on cars with the 265 hp engine configuration.
