Description:

I bought another car, so it's time to move on. I am open to selling the complete, perfectly running car, but I wanted to offer up the whole swap package if someone already has a roller.

If you're interested in the complete car hit me up.  It would pull the best money on BAT....but god I did that once and don't want to again.

This swap is 100% reversible. The only cutting on the car is to remove the spare tire well, which can be welded back in easily.

To be clear - everything is 100% engineered, fabricated, and ready to go. I would expect an industrious person to be able to drop this in a car that is prepped in a long weekend.

The finished product is a batshit fast, 2900lb Rx7 (same as stock) reliable swap.
The swap config is comparable and running the same tune as:
https://electricgt.com/shop/egt-913-...rsche-911-912/

  • Everything listed as <500 miles on it
  • 16 x ElectricGT OX Drive Power Batteries (42 KwH)
  • Tesla Model S large drive unit (tested, working perfectly)
  • Battery cooling system with custom radiator
  • Custom drop-in Rx7 Battery Structure (bolts in the front to the existing motor mounts and in the rear to existing bolts)
  • AEM ECU + Tesla driver + CAN controller (mounts hidden where the jack goes)
  • Custom Rx7 rear subframe
  • Custom rear motor mount (Will need to be welded to frame rails.  Easy work, anybody with a MIG can do it)
  • Custom side motor mount
  • Brake vacuum pump
  • Custom Rx7 wiring
  • Zeva BMS + custom mount in shifter area
  • Charger
  • DC-DC Setup
  • Tesla Model S "gas" pedal with custom mount
  • Drop-in mount for Wiring box, charger, DC-DC (fits in transmission tunnel)
  • Custom axles (Tesla axles modified for your outer CV joints)
  • Custom rear 12v battery mount tray
I'll provide up to 10 hours of "support" to the buyer to help explain anything needed.

I can help coordinate shipping, etc.

So I’m a bit confused. Is the car running as completed ev swap or as a roller and you have priced in the ev swap kit.

some more details on the chassis and paint etc might go a long way. VIN also. Etc. Glws.

More info that I should have added:

Estimated Performance: 0-60 in 3~4 second range
Top Speed: Probably 110-120 mph. I've never gone over 85
Estimated Range: 100-120 miles

It sounds like quite a few people are interested in the complete car. Here is more information on the complete car. I will get more pictures.

Complete EV Price: $35k
  • 1993 Mazda RX-7
  • VIN: JM1FD3313P0209179
  • Clean Blue Title
  • 103k miles
  • Body
    • Straight, really clean body
    • Montego Blue
    • Before I wrapped it in white I fixed a couple small dents on both front fenders and one on the rear quarter. I was wrapping it, so I just epoxy primed them and sanded it smooth. I planned to repaint the whole car after taking the wrap off so those spots are primer gray.
    • Headlights work as they should, all body parts are there
  • Interior
It's not perfect, but it's in pretty good condition
    • Originally it was tan
      • Door cards and headliner repainted black
      • Black replacement carpet
    • Front seats recovered in black professionally - they are perfect
    • Rear seat recovered professionally but the same shop - it's perfect
    • Rear side panels with speakers for the rear seats
    • Bose acoustic wave snake in the back, but I installed other speakers
    • Alpine radio
    • Crack free dash, etc.
  • Wheels
    • Have original wheels
    • Currently on Rays Gram Light - 18x9.5 in rear / 17x9 in front (<500 miles)
    • Toyo R888 Tires (<500 miles)
  • Suspension
    • Ground Control coilovers (<500 miles)
  • Brakes
    • Stock
    • Rear calipers rebuilt
  • Steering
    • Standard rack setup as manual. Can add powersteering easily with a Volvo pump

For an additional $4k I can include everything to convert the car back to ICE if you want. This offer is only for the buyer of the car:
  • Stock twin-turbo engine - was running just fine with no smoke when pulled. I hand-turn it every few months.
  • Manual transmission (will need flywheel and clutch and three pedals - car was originally automatic)
  • Driveshaft, differential, untouched rear subframe, axles
  • Racing beat exhaust
  • Gas tank
  • All the miscellaneous everything
I'll post more pictures as soon as I can. I'm out of town.

Jon who had a similar setup in his e30 did tons of punishment on his setup including recording 0-60 times. My setup has more battery capacity, and a commercial AEM electronics setup.

You can checkout some of his videos to get an idea of performance:

I followed that build extensively, I was also building an MTech vert when Jon was building that car.

He's busy stuffing a 2 rotor into an i8 at the moment..

Ya his build was awesome. Definitely made me feel that it was possible with my dream car (The FD). Ironically I already have an M-tech 2 e30 and just bought an i8 a few weeks ago. The i8 is amazing.

Any idea what it would take to transport this to NJ? I'm getting out of driving the cars but this would be an interesting build to mess with.

It could be shipped by a car transporter no issue. Just drive it on and it goes.
