  • VIN NotListing
  • Engine Other
  • Drive Type 2WD

Description:

I would like to keep it, but I am doing nothing with it.  Everything to know about the car is in my post history.   If any of the description is not exactly worded with the proper terminology I think you will know what I mean.

For Sale:  1994 RX7
Model: Touring
Car was purchased in (about) 1999 as a rebuilt wreck.  Car dealer examined it before purchase and commented that it was well put together.
Front right strut seems to be slightly bent at the lower shackle to compensate(?).  Car aligns with no issues.
Original Vintage Red with glass moonroof (no inside shade).  Fog lights.
Black leather interior, driver seat is rough - but not torn.
Updated Y-Pipe, downpipe,
Center speaker of radio disconnected because it started to buzz
17" PF01 on Front with 245/40/17 Sumitomo - A little too large - they slightly rub the fender even though I have cut the inside lip down. Fender needs to be folded over, but I do not have the tools.
18" PF01 on Rear with 265/35/18 Sumitomo
Upgraded 2000(?) front running/turn signal lights
Has boost gauge on A-pillar
When last running it drank motor oil at an alarming rate but compression is close 100/100/100 on both rotors, I never looked at the turbos to see if they are the culprit. I have not started it in the last two years or so.
Selling because it needs a master brake cylinder and booster which I cannot find and at 64 years old I no longer have the time/heart to sort it out.
Has Profec-B, but I have kept it turned off almost all the time for the past 10 years or so because I seldom needed the power that 10lbs of boost gave.
Has Bose tube in trunk, but I have never been able to tell if it does anything.
Cargo area cover.
Left door pocket lid broken off - missing.
Odometer/Speedometer was giving trouble, but I had it replaced with a newer instrument cluster and then when that one failed too, I had it rebuilt.  Occasionally the odometer lights do not show.
ABS shuts off almost immediately after stopping when making a right turn - I suspect the sensor on the front right.
Usual creeks and groans from the 30 year old suspension.

I will sell it for what I consider a reasonable price.  I will keep it if I do not get a reasonable price.

Any interested buyer should accompany me to the bank to buy a cashiers check from that bank - and turn it over for me to deposit.

All facts above are as I know them.  If I am mistaken about anything it is due to lack of knowledge on my part.

Please check my post history... I think there may be such pics (except for the underside), if not, I will have to generate them at another time.

Sorry. I Thought I posted mileage... As far as I can tell/recall, it has about 127,000 Miles.

... and the EGR is always throwing a code. I replaced it once and it calmed down for a few years - then came back.

Title is clean - no brands and the Mileage when titled in 1999 was 59,100 "Actual Mileage."

For all interested in underside pics... That pretty much cannot happen unless I have the car trailed to a shop to lift it - and I have no intention of doing that.

A potential buyer asked me some questions. I will charge the battery and start the car to check the following:
  • Power Window (passenger) fixed. I'll have to check though, I remember replacing the motor and getting it working. Left window never had a problem.
  • Mirrors move when activated by the switch, but driver mirror accuracy may be off.
  • Oil Guage sensor - I'm sure needs replacing.
  • I had the no-start issue, don't remember what I ended up doing to fix it. I do remember jumpering something - but what I cannot say.
  • Since the OP, I have been vomiting so progress is bound to be slow. Please stay tuned,
If anyone asks me a question, I will post the results here.

Hope you feel better dude! Nothing serious just a stomach bug I hope.

Good luck with the sale too. I had a buddy in the market but he snagged an FD a while back.

Ut oh.

Looks like I might be back in the "get under the car" business.
Since posting this thread, one of the members here has sold me a master and booster for a reasonable price. I am installing them this week. Makes me wonder if this will lead me down the trail to getting the car back into "(relatively)-perfect" shape - and then keeping it.
