  • Price
    $1
  • Location Athens, AL, 35614, USA
  • Condition Used
Description:

I have several parts that I’ve been collecting but unfortunately need to sell because bills and things. I’ll try to post more pictures tonight after work and have prices as well.

Some of the items include:

  • Mazda factory optioned urethane 3-piece IMSA style front bumper (black)
  •  2 12A engines
  • 4 FB transmissions
  • Red S3 dash in mint condition
  • Grey GSL/GSLSE cloth seats in great shape
  • Distributors
  • Carburetors
  • Front covers
  • Energy suspension bushings
  • 12A rotors
  • 12A irons
  • 13B RENESIS rotors and e-shafts
  • 2 84-85 LSD units (big bearing)

I have more but I’d have to look. I’m also considering selling my 85 GSL. It’s been my project for the past 5 months and runs and drives great for having 180k on the original drivetrain.

If you have questions, DM me. Thanks.

Do you have any front counterweights from an 81 or 82 engine?

I’ll have to look. Are they stamped or marked to distinguish them from s1 or s3 counterweights?

Flywheels are, but not sure about the counter weights. Just know that they are all weighted with the rotors to balance it all out. 81/82 used the same rotating assembly.

looks like I only have a 79 and 85 front counterweight. Do you know if either would work for your application?

Here are pictures for anyone interested. It’s a black urethane three-piece bumper painted in black.

Thanks but no. To clarify, as I understand it, the front counterweight is weighted to correspond with the flywheel and rotors. 79 and 80 used a 30lb flywheel, where as the 81-82 cars used a lighter 23lb flywheel. All 4 years used the same weight rotors. This makes the 79-80 front counterweights slightly different in weight to the 81-82 cars. The 83-85 cars are also different as both the rotor weights and flywheels changed yet again.

That's good to know. I have a bunch of flywheels as well and I think some of them are labeled by year.

The old Mazdatrix website has a good info on identifying flywheels.
