15g’s US?!?! Sweet baby Jesus.
I respect that it was the last cluster revision Mazdaspeed made. But I was never keen on the colour. I guess it would make sense if your FD was blue. Even then though, I was never impressed with the font used and the style of needles it had.
I would consider at least changing out the needles on it. Thankfully I’m not looking for one.
U can buy l.e.d. kits to change the color of ur cluster and needle. You can even have a company print design u what ever color gauge faces design them as u see fit. They can duplicate this or make it even better , 15k? Maybe he means that is 14,500 yen .
for some $300 custom gauge faces is to each there own.

Ah, there lies the problem. You say there are companies that can replicate this, but Im going to tell you they cant. Not unless you get the actual original company who made these in the first place.
How do I know this?? Ive tried. Ive tried almost all the companies who claim to make OEM style face gauges. They either flat out tell you they cant do it, or they want to replicate the entire cluster so that everything matches. Does it come even close to the factory finish?? Not even. Its really obvious all those aftermarket companies use some sort of printer to make these gauges. All of them has this weird texture finish on them, the backlighting doesnt come close to what the factory gauges offer, and the font finish is rigid. Overall hideous.
Thus the crazy prices for the OEM stuff.
Another reason why I keep bumping up my own thread regarding the RE 300km/hr speedometer. Its the only one thatll match the white gauges they used in the last versions of our car.

"Sports Driving Meter" entry in the 2002 Mazdaspeed Catalogue did not give a price. Rather it says "still in production" where normally the price would be listed. So it seems it started out "NYA" (not yet available). Maybe someone can translate the blurb. No explanation on how it could make the car go faster is given, unless the 10,000 limit of the tach was a suggestion. Someone recently was asking Y400,000 for that parking brake handle on YAJ. More normal "asking" price is about Y150,000. not sure i have actually seen one sold. The round Mazdaspeed muffler accidently landed in my collection a number of years ago. I naively sold it for C$300. The oval version (like the stock Yonez) is more common. The one I had on my car sounded very sweet (and not very loud) so is an attractive OEM + addition for normal street use. Real ballers will be willing to poke holes in their doorcard to mount that RZ kneepad (you can find for Y15,000). Unfortunately pressure from the knee makes the plastics above creak, unless you also have the extremely rare inner door brace.

I'm not sure if the cluster was ever available to purchase through MS catalogue, I think many R-Spec parts you have to get it with the car, like the hood.

The June 2002, R-spec Brochure does give a price: Y102,000. Price has also replaced "in production" in the itemized price list. The mirror back cover, or replica of it, is one of the cheaper parts still findable from that brochure. Looks sharp!
