Mazda RX-7 1993 - 2002
Description:

I am chasing a pair of bolts for the pop up light cage on the FD.
The bolt is shouldered to allow you to tighten the nut and still allow cage movement.
I found the cause of slop in my light movement was previous owner put normal bolts.
Pic is a bolt I am using but would like the correct ones.
They are not available from Mazda.
2nd pic is where the bolt is located

Thanks in advance

I am happy to hold onto mine.

Interesting to note that for mine the two sides seem to be different with one having a thicker "collar".

Mine are freshly removed, so chance is less I have them mixed up.

Went to the specialty fastener shop this afternoon (Ammo Supply).

No chance to find matching specialty bolts.

He recommended gong to a scrapyard.

He also suggested that we use a standard bolt and cut a piece of metal pipe to use as a liner.

Also said they don't carry fine thread metric bolts any more. Said there were too many alternatives to stock..

Also no luck on those shouldered nuts.

Regarding metric wingnuts, like for the spare tire hold down, he said he would have to order in.

Mazda parts catalogue doe not assign a part number nor a fastener reference number to the specialty bolts.

Thanks Guys.
Sorry been on shift
I appreciate the help but was offered a pair local so will save all the currency conversion and international shipping for two bolts.
Although not totally ideal I am now currently using what I think was a pair of the undertray shouldered bolts. Fits in to the sleeve but the shoulder is not quiet long eneough so if you tighten too much you can lock the cage. Have firm with lock tight.
A smaller complementing sleeve may work well as the undertray bolts are still available from mazda.

Is that on-line or a store front store?
