Description:

1980 Mazda first generation RX7 – GS 1.1 liter 12A engine, RWD, 5 speed, 100,800 miles. 

Body modifications include:  SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) body package (air dam, wide front fenders, wide rear fenders, whale tail).  Air dam front brake cooling ports still usable but have fog lights installed in them. Double front windshield wipers converted to single wiper. 

Aluminum 3 piece wheels specifically designed & built in England for this kit. 

Yokohama AVS 305-40-15 rear tires, 285-45-15 front tires.  Electric antenna, rear hatch louvers.

Fuel, clutch, brake perforated pedals for non-slip, mirrors changed, alarm system & anti-theft door locks. 

Bought, used in Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma and for a short period in Illinois & Minnesota.  Stored in-doors, undercoated.

 Intake & exhaust modifications have roughly doubled the stock horsepower.  Modifications include: centrifugal assist street & strip clutch, headers, carburetor with enlarged jets and mechanically actuated secondary barrels (original was vacuum actuated), K&N oiled air filter.

Original wheels, fenders, engine parts are included along with several maintenance & repair manuals and parts ordering catalogs applicable to RX7. 

Never raced.

Less than ideal:  3 piece wheels need re-seating as 3 of them have slow to very slow air leaks (refill with air monthly to quarterly).  A steering stabilizer bar would be helpful on bumpy roads.  Some small chips in body, rear fender bonding seams need fairing, body then needs new paint.  1 dash crack but behind gauges so almost not noticeable.  Seat will need re-upholstering as seam has come apart.  A/C compressor Schrader valve leaking, needs replacement.  Needs new weatherstripping in both doors.
