Mazda RX-7 1993 - 1995
Description:

This 93-95 plastic housing clutch ignition cut off switch bolts to the side of the clutch pedal housing right above the carpet and cuts off the ignition starter circuit when the clutch isn't depressed.
It used to be available from Mazda, but has been discontinued, I think. I'm using a loose pushbutton ATM, which is less than ideal.

Thanks

Is this it? Hope this helps. The clutch switch is a pretty common failure point for these cars, that's no bueno that they're discontinued.

that switch is an add on for the US market, most people are probably bypassing it

You're probably right J9fd3s, and yes, JDM models probably don't use this ignition safety lock out switch.

Hi Natey,
No, both switches have the same type of plunger actuator, but I'm looking for the larger more rectangular shaped switch with bolt holes in the switch housing corners for mounting to the clutch pedal bracket. Instead of a screw collar mount.
The one you posted lies between the clutch pedal lever arm and driver, while the one I want sits between the clutch pedal mount and the brake pedal mount near the firewall + carpet.
i will try to dig up a pic to add, if I can find one, in case someone has one as a spare. This switch typically remains bolted to pulled clutch pedals, ,I would think.

Thanks
