Description:
Looking for an aluminum AST for my 92 FD. Figured I’d post here before I order a brand new one.
I also have a couple items for sale or trade.
Mazdaspeed leather shift **** $250
3” ss down pipe for LHD. Was told the brand is racing beat. It is brand new $200
I have the late model thermostat housing on mine so unfortunately a Ast delete isn’t a possibility at the moment without running a swirl pot / thermostat housing. Which the one I ordered unfortunately did not fit with my stock TT set up.
All you would need is the early style filler neck if you wanted to go that route. Alternatively, you could drill a hole in your current neck, thread it, then install a pressure cap. You would add a nipple to the top of your current filler neck to effectively replicate the fc filler neck cap.
If you're going for the all original oem look then nevermind but in the pursuit of mods, it's inevitable to delete the ast.

it will 100% be deleted eventually. Just a temporary solution to remove the plastic ast before it cracks. And that’s the main reason I don’t wanna drop $200+ on a new one just to remove it later.
Just didn’t fit with my factory cross over pipe.
I've got an aluminum AST with all the coolant hoses, ill send you a PM in a bit with photos
