Hi - I wish I knew enough to ask intelligent questions in this forum, but here I go, nonetheless. I'm original owner of a '81 RX7 GS that, thanks to exhaust and carb work (shutter valve replacement) and a new clutch performed by a young diligent fellow this past summer is now running like a bat out of hell. It's amazing and wondrous.

Today I asked him what might be necessary to 'tighten' the steering (it's not like it was when new any longer!) and without hesitation he said "tie rods, inner & outer". (I was thinking steering knuckle but what really do I know how steering works?) The car's got ~270,000 miles on it and I can't find any mention of tie rod replacement.in my records. Would be nice to smooth out/tighten the steering, especially now that it's so damned much fun to drive again.

So I turned to this forum and -lo and behold- what do I run across? (I see you've got some suspension parts also listed. I don't suspect I would benefit from such.)

On the belief my guy is on top of the situation, let's go for this set. Am assuming we can find another set of tie rods if necessary.. (He's managed to lure a couple of FBs to his shop -- thanks in no small part to mine sitting outside his shop for a couple winter months providing advertising!)
