Looking for someone fully parting out a RHD FD that is willing to cut metal from the body of the car. I need the mounts on the rear strut towers for the rear seats. They would need the spot welds drilled out to remove them.

There was an FD on Vancouver Island that literally burned to the ground, recently. It may have gone to the crusher, but one of the people holding it had advertised to part it out. Probably not good to reuse any structural bits, but the back seat clamp pedestals might be something salvageable.

yeah I would think that would be ok to use. Not much else it sounds like. I didn't see the part out thread.

Unfortunately when I cut up this beautiful shell, I scrapped the section with half the strut tower attached.

Maybe ask RHDJapan if those pedestal's are still in stock. I can't imagine there would have been much demand for them as a replacement part.

My best guess when looking at page 5340 (sido paneru) of the JDM parts catalogue is the panel part number is F100-70-17YB and F100-71-17YB (four person version)

The catalogue calls the parts "Buraketo (R), riyashito, hoiiru"

Yeah i cant even get those part numbers to come up in any kind of search. I am seeing if Nengun can get a price on the strut tower metal.

Hopefully someone will chime in with a part out!

I think Island FD may still have his halfshell.

You might have to buy the whole half shell and have him cut out the pedestals. I have the lock loops, if you need a set of those. Car is a Type X.

I’ll shortly be parting out a RHD FD that has the aforementioned brackets on them. I’m in the U.K. but happy to ship them across the pond

Try Amayama? $18 each. Can't beat that. Good company if you haven't used them before.

looks like they can get them. I placed an order. Fingers crossed. They said it should arrive on the 16th. We shall see. Will update everyone on this if they do or don't arrive.

Wow, very surprised they have those. I suppose the inventory has lasted, because, who would likely need. Seems a robust piece that normally would not get damaged or lost.

You will get them, maybe even sooner. Sometimes a day later. But they are a very reliable company, and something I've kept secret. But, am happy to help out.

Last shipment I got a few weeks ago left Tokyo and arrived in the US in one day. Two days later, was at my doorstep.

Mazda Japan was very slow to ship, so I'd heard. Staffing problems.

Sometimes my local dealer surprises with availability, but word is their prices have gone up, maybe like 50%.

(That may be the effect of the weaker C$ as parts often come up overnight from LA.)

Some dealers will only try to fetch USDM stuff, if they bother with FD stuff at all.

yeah it's definitely not a part that would need replaced, pretty much only for people converting to rear seats.

Good to hear. I pretty much went through their whole catalog to see what all they have. I will probably order a few more things after this.
