Can I ask what catalytic converter you're using? My car eats cats for breakfast, although that was on a pretty rough previous tune that I'm sure wasn't doing them any favors. Vibrant GESI cat didn't last long. Still worried about spending the money on another cat and having it vaporize in short order, but I would like to reduce the smell and sound level for street driving.

 

It's a 3.5" magnaflow metallic 200cpi.

The tune will for sure will effect cat life. Too lean, too little timing etc... This is where an EGT input on a modern ecu makes it a required sensor. Secondary issues could be from OMP settings or adding too much premix. This will also kill o2 sensors quickly.
