**The car is located in El Paso, TX
Selling a fantastic 1993 FD RX7 Touring with 116,894 miles on the chasis that can be taken in many directions such as stock restoration, dedicated track car, modded street car, or just keep as is. This car has had 2 engine rebuilds and is currently not running and ready for its third engine rebuild. Engine lost compression in one rotor due to pushing it too hard on bad/old gas and has been kept in storage for the past 5yrs. The car is mostly stock running on the original engine, stock sequential twin turbos at stock boost level. Upgrades are mostly reliability mods and street mods;
Modifications:
-Tein Flex coil overs (basically brand new <100 miles on them)
- Racing beat dual exhaust cat back
- Bonez high-flow cat back
- 3" downpipe with high temp copper wrap and silicone sealed
- Ebay intercooler (works perfectly)
- Apexi FC ECU (stock map)
- Aluminum Radiator
- HKS Twin Power spark amplifier
- Cold air intake
- Aluminum strut tower bars front and rear
- Slotted and drilled stoptech rotors
- S/S braided brake lines
- Turbo Timer (for cooling car down on hot days)
- EDC yellow stuff brake pads (basically brand new)
- 99 spec front lip
- 99 spec steering wheel
- RX8 Shift ****
- 18" Racing Hart C5 3-piece wheels, super rare and period correct (18x8 front 18x10 back)
- ACT street/strip clutch with HD pressure plate
- OEM reinforced pressure plate fork
- ACT lightweight flywheel (super fun fast revs)
- Metal door handle upgrade (stock ones are plastic and break)
Because the car doesn't run, here is a list of mechanical/driving things that you would notice if you could test-drive this car:
- Ball joints clunk (common issue), all need replacing
- New bushings all the way around (still on 30yr old stock rubber bushings)
- A/C needs a recharge and or maintenance
- Hood needs dampers (using pole to prop up)
- Car boost creeps to about 12 psi past 8k rpm due to high flow exhaust
Interior 6.5/10 condition
- Dashboard in great shape (no cracks at all)
- Typical cracked trim on both doors
- Typical cracked trim on dashboard hoo
- Typical glove box warp
- Typical driver side door "clunk" when closing
- Stock leather seats have heavy tearing and leather has hardened
- Carpet is in great shape
- Back bins in great shape
- Trunk divider in great shape
- Trunk liner and trim in great shape
- Stock Bose sound system works but needs replacing
- Moon roof works
Exterior 7/10 condition
- No accidents, car was repainted by previous owner when I purchased in 2006
- No modifications, all stock pannels, lights, trim, etc
- Paint is not faded but has very little clear left, looks good with a solid wax job
- Some fender paint chipping due to 18" wheels and ride height
- Front emblem missing
- Back emblem cracked
- Front left headlight cap broke off and needs to be repaired (you can see in attached picture)
- typical chips and scratches from regular driving
- 99spec front lip
- Painted stock brake calipers black and polished mazda logo
